Post Doctoral Training
After completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Washington pursued specialized training to enhance her skills and knowledge in addressing the diverse mental health needs of her patients. Dr. Washington is a licensed provider of Suboxone for the treatment of opiate dependency since 2007.
Education
Dr. Washington's academic journey reflects a strong foundation in psychiatry and a continuous pursuit of learning to better serve her patients. To become an effective and helpful psychiatrist, Dr. Washington studied extensively and deep into the field she is passionate about- helping people through psychiatry. Dr. Washington received her MD degree from The Chicago Medical School in 1998. Furthermore, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. She completed her training in adult psychiatry at New York Medical College.

Dr. Washington also specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and she completed a two-year fellowship in 2008 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, the teaching hospital of New York Medical College. Her fellowship training and specialization helps her in diagnosing and treating developmental, academic and mood disorders associated with childhood and young adulthood.
